Tampa Roller Derby will host our 3rd annual Skate-a-thon for charity on Sunday, April 28th. This year’s community charity will be Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough. (http://www.habitathillsborough.com/ ) The concept of Habitat for Humanity is that each Habitat Affiliate and those in need of adequate shelter would work side-by-side with volunteers to build simple, decent homes.

How to pledge:

-Call, email, FB message, send smoke signals, or holla’ at you favorite Tampa Roller Derby or Tampa Jr Derby skater to make a pledge. A dollar to $1,000 is greatly appreciated!

-Pledges can be made per lap.

Pledged: $0.10 / lap

Miles skated = 200 laps

Donation $20

-Pledges can be made as a flat donation.

You like a roller girl = $20.

You REALLY like your roller girl = $200!!

-Pledges can be made on Paypal.

Please include the name of the skater you would like to donate on behalf.

Help Save Tampa's Bro Bowl

The historic Bro Bowl at Perry Harvey, Sr. Park in Tampa, Florida, is currently under the threat of being demolished by the City of Tampa. The Skateboarding Heritage Foundation, Surfrider Foundation, Tony Hawk Foundation, and the Florida Skate Museum have joined together and are now seeking the protection and preservation of this iconic and legendary 1970s-era surf-style skatepark. Your donations via PayPal using your credit card, debit card, or bank account will go towards support of the Bro Bowl Coalition and its effort to preserve this Tampa landmark and American skateboarding heritage site.
